Lies of P, an exciting venture by South Korean studio Neowiz, has been a delightful surprise, coming forth this September. Following in the footsteps of the Soulsborne games, this action role-playing game lets players experience a dark, steampunk or dieselpunk rendition of Pinocchio’s tale, fighting through hard-hitting bosses and equally challenging regular foes. There’s hope for a sequel, but before that, a downloadable content (DLC) is definitely on the horizon, hinted by a recent job advertisement.
Neowiz, the developing and publishing firm, posted a job advertisement on its Korean-language website, as shared by Okami Games. In the project description pertaining to Lies of P, one can spot the line “DLC development in plan”, making it not so hard to deduce what this snippet suggests: there’s some downloadable content in the works for the action RPG. There are not many possibilities in this case; it could be about new appearances, weapons, or a complete story-extending DLC, the latter being our stronger guess. Expansions were released for the Dark Souls trilogy and Bloodborne, so one for Lies of P would fit right in. Neowiz had earlier promised to publish a roadmap concerning the future of the action RPG, implying that fans might receive multiple new contents.
Lies of P made its entry on PCs and consoles on September 12. If all goes well, a sequel is in the making for the game, hinted by the credits scene. However, this could also hint towards the DLC, which we now know about through the job advertisement.
