Destiny 2: The Final Shape Has Been Significantly Delayed! [VIDEO]

Sony-owned Bungie has delayed the next expansion pack for Destiny 2 for over a quarter of a year…

Bungie announced the delay on their blog, and we’ll quote their post: “The Final Form is the culmination of Destiny’s first 10 years of storytelling and, for Guardians everywhere, countless hours spent together. We want to honor that journey, so we’re taking the time necessary to deliver an even bigger and bolder vision that we hope will be remembered and cherished for years to come. Season of the Wish begins tomorrow and will continue through launch in June. While the majority of the content and story for Season of the Wish will take place from late November through February as originally planned, the team is adding new content that will be available to all players between now and the launch of The Final Shape.

In February, we’ll introduce new weekly progression-based quests called Wishes, and we’ll introduce Moments of Triumph with unique rewards. Next, we’ll move Guardian Games up to March with a renewed focus on class-based competition. Starting in April, we’ll deliver a two-month, all-access content update called Destiny 2: Into the Light, which will prepare players for their Guardian’s journey into the Traveler. All of this is in addition to the ongoing efforts of our PvP Strike Team, including 3 new PvP maps dropping in May. We know you’re anxious to get your hands on The Final Form. Delays aren’t fun. For our part, we’re excited to have the extra time we need to bring our vision to life for all of you. We’re looking forward to sharing much more in April, including all-new gameplay to showcase the significant content additions currently in development,” Bungie wrote.

So Destiny 2: The Final Shape will not be released on February 27, but on June 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Three months is not a short time…
