PS Plus Extra: Bunch Of Games Leaving In January, Including Some Big Titles?!

The list of games leaving PlayStation Plus Extra in January 2024 has been leaked, confirming that users could lose access to a further nine titles…

PlayStation Plus Extra tier members will lose access to nine more games next month. PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers receive many additional benefits, as they can play a massive catalogue of games at no extra cost.

Sony updates this list regularly, with titles coming and going every month. Unlike games that are available monthly for free to all PS Plus subscribers, users can no longer play these games once they exit the service.

Now Sony has confirmed that nine more games will be leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in January 2024.

Sony has updated the PlayStation Store’s “Last Chance to Play” section with a list of games leaving the PS Plus Extra tier next month. The full list includes It Takes Two, SnowRunner, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, Devil May Cry 5, Jett: The Far Shore, Omno, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition, The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories and Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae games. Players still have a little over 30 days to play through, as the catalogue is usually updated around the middle of each month.

Soon leaving PS Plus Extra:

  • Devil May Cry 5
  • Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
  • It Takes Two
  • Jett: The Far Shore
  • The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories,
  • Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae
  • Omno
  • Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition
  • SnowRunner

It Takes Two, and Devil May Cry 5 are likely the biggest games to leave the PS Plus Extra catalog next month. Both received critical acclaim upon release. It Takes Two also won the Best Game of 2021 award at The Game Awards. So, it looks like users will lose access to some great games in January 2024.

Although this list mentions games leaving PS Plus Extra in January, the titles leaving in December 2023 were revealed earlier last month.

Extra members will lose access to 11 games in December, such as Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Friday the 13th: The Game, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and many more games are leaving the service. These games will be removed from PS Plus Extra and Premium on December 19. So, fans only have a few days left to play with them.

Sony will soon reveal the December 2023 range of PS Plus Extra and Premium. It will be interesting to see what titles will replace these games. In the meantime, subscribers can try out the December 2023 free PS Plus games, with Lego 2K Drive, PowerWash Simulator and Sable already available for free to members.
