HALO – The second season is coming to SkyShowtime in 2024

MOVIE NEWS – SkyShowtime announced today that the long-awaited second season of the hit series HALO will finally arrive on the streaming service’s offer in February 2024. The 1-2. episode will be available to stream from February 9, with the remaining episodes arriving weekly thereafter – exclusively on SkyShowtime.

In the second season, John-117 Master Chief leads his elite team of super soldiers, the Spartans, against an alien threat known as the Covenant. After a shocking event on a barren planet, John can’t shake the feeling that his war is about to come to a turning point, and he risks everything to prove what no one wants to believe but him: the Covenant is preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance, John embarks on a dangerous mission to find the key to humanity’s salvation or extinction – Death.

Created by showrunner and executive producer David Wiener (Brave New World), the series is set in the universe that debuted in 2001 with the release of the first HALO game on Xbox®. Depicting the epic 26th century conflict between humanity and the alien threat known as the Covenant, the HALO series weaves deeply crafted personal stories with action, adventure and a compelling fictional future.

HALO stars Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) as Master Chief, Spartan-117 and Natascha McElhone (Californication) as Dr. Halsey, who also serves as a producer this season. Other returning actors: Jen Taylor (HALO game series, RWBY) as Cortana, Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Shabana Azmi (Fire), Natasha Culzac (The Witcher), Olive Gray (Half Moon Investigations), Yerin Ha (Reef Break), Bentley Kalu (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Kate Kennedy (Catastrophe), Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders) and Danny Sapani (Penny Dreadful).

In this season, new actors are added to the cast: Joseph Morgan (Vampire Diaries, The Originals) and Cristina Rodlo (No One Gets Out of Here Alive, The Homeless World Cup). Morgan joins the series as James Ackerson, a fearsome intelligence agent who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC’s secret naval intelligence agency. Rodlo Talia Perez, a corporal specializing in linguistics in the communications unit of the UNSC Marine Corps, is a green-eared recruit who has yet to experience the true devastation of war. Returning from the first season, Laera (Fiona O’Shaughnessy) is Soren’s confidant, wife and accomplice. Soren and Laera’s son Kessler (Tylan Bailey) grew up on the Rubble in a relatively peaceful, if unusual, childhood.

HALO is produced by SHOWTIME® in association with 343 Industries and Amblin Television. The second season of HALO is produced by Amblin Television alongside David Wiener, Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. Kiki Wolfkill for Xbox/343 Industries, Otto Bathurst and Toby Leslie for One Big Picture, and Gian Paolo Varani for One Big Picture. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
