Latest News On Celine Dion’s Condition – A Close Family Member Speaks Out!

MOVIE NEWS – Canadian singer and film composer Celine Dion shared in December 2022 that she was diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome.

Celine Dion’s sister has shared a candid update on the chart-topping singer-songwriter’s health a year after being diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome. Dion’s sister Claudette said the “My Heart Will Go On” singer “doesn’t have control over her muscles.”

“She’s working hard,” the 75-year-old said of her younger sister, 55. “What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined…She’s always worked hard. Our mother always told her, ‘You’re going to do it well, you’re going to do it properly.'”

Claudette highlighted her sister’s health goal and told the publication: “It’s true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage. In what capacity? I don’t know.”

This update comes a year after Dion first shared her diagnosis with the world: On December 8, 2022, the “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” singer told fans that she had been diagnosed with a “very rare” neurological disorder.

“I wasn’t ready to say anything before, but I’m ready now,” she noted in an Instagram video. “I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through.”

She also shared: “Unfortunately, the spasms affect every aspect of my daily life.”

Dion highlighted that the disorder caused “difficulties”, including walking and singing. “It hurts me to tell you today, this means, that I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February,” she relayed. “I’m working hard with my sports medicine therapist every day to build back my strength and my ability to perform again. But I have to admit, it’s been a struggle.”

The Grammy winner is relying on her children – 22-year-old René-Charles and 13-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson – during this difficult time.
