Guerrilla Games and Nixxes Software have published four system requirements for the sequel to Aloy’s adventures.

The system requirements speak for themselves:

System requirements for very low graphics settings:

Average performance: 720p resolution, 30 FPS frame rate
Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (minimum v1909)
Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT (4 GB VRAM)
Free storage: 150 GB, on SSD!

System requirements for medium graphics settings:

Average performance: 1080p resolution, 60 FPS frame rate
Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (minimum v1909)
Processor: Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
Free storage: 150 GB, on SSD

System requirements for high graphics settings:

Average performance: 1440p resolution, 60 FPS or 4K, 30 FPS frame rate
Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (minimum v1909)
Processor: Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800
Free storage: 150 GB, on SSD

System requirements for very high graphics settings:

Average performance: 4K resolution, 60 FPS frame rate
Operating system: Windows 10 x64 (minimum v1909)
Processor: Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900XT
Free storage: 150 GB, on SSD

So, if you want 60 FPS at 4K, you should have a max configuration of 2-3 years old. Strange but true: 16 GB of memory seems to be enough in all cases. There’s just one snag: the developers didn’t mention whether scaling up technologies would be deployed. We already know that Reflex and DLAA will be supported alongside Nvidia’s DLSS 3, but AMD’s FSR and Intel’s XeSS upscaling will also work. Microsoft DirectStorage will help the game load faster.

Horizon Forbidden West will arrive on Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 21, and will include the Burning Shores DLC alongside the base game.
