Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League: Warner Is Desperate For Players!

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has already taken a step that other publishers rarely do so soon after release (and even then, we’ve only seen it from Ubisoft).

It’s been a month and a half since Rocksteady Studios released the game, which we wrote about because it had fewer players than not only the team’s previous game, Batman: Arkham Knight, but also the last similar title, Gotham Knights (which was neither popular nor successful), developed by WB Games Montréal. The Suicide Squad game has been in development for a long time and has been delayed several times, but let’s face it: it got off to a bad start with its live service model.

Rocksteady has promised weekly updates on the status of the game and the content being developed for it. The studio is now working to get the game in good shape for the launch of the first season, which could have a chance to gain momentum with the arrival of Joker, the next playable character. There will be a new Elseworld, more gear and weapons, and some new missions. All of this will be free content.

There are also technical glitches, and Rocksteady is aware of them: the studio understands the frustration of the audience and thanks them for their patience. The team has set up a page for known bugs, where they propose several solutions. This page is more exciting than the studio’s news, although the latter has something at the end that shows WBD’s mentality: the Basic and Digital Deluxe versions of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be available for 40% off until March 21.

The game has been in development for over seven years, and a month and a half after its release, it’s getting that much of a discount? That’s not a good sign, and WBD has already stated that Suicide Squad’s sales are far below the company’s expectations. Perhaps it was in vain that Rocksteady promised an offline mode in the first year (because it requires an internet connection by default!), but for many people it has already missed the mark.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title.
