Nintendo conducted a survey among gamers asking about Paper Mario, Super Mario RPG, and Mario & Luigi.

 

 

It’s very common for video game companies to want to collect data and opinions about player tastes and preferences. In this case, it was Nintendo who sent out a survey to a number of users. The goal was to get feedback on several sub-series of the Mario saga. This could indicate a lot for the future, but at least for now, the Japanese company is getting feedback from its fan base to make decisions.

VGC recently reported that Nintendo sent out a survey to some specific users in Europe.

In it, they asked about the games Paper Mario, Super Mario RPG or Mario & Luigi. In short, the questions revolved around the aforementioned franchises and how we would like them to continue.

In addition to asking us which games from these franchises we’ve played, Nintendo also wanted to know what aspects of Super Mario RPG we liked and disliked. Other questions include whether we’d rather meet new characters in the series, such as Geno or Mallow from Super Mario RPG, or the more recognizable personalities. They were also curious about how they would prefer to behave, either unexpectedly or normally.

At the end of the survey, players are asked for their opinions on Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario: The Origami King. However, they are also wondering if we are already waiting for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, which will be released on May 23, 2024. It’s unclear what Nintendo’s intentions are with this kind of survey.

It seems pretty clear that they need to collect feedback. After all, their goal is to understand which aspects of the most popular franchises they need to improve. It is also possible that they are planning something for future releases. Super Mario RPG has had a suspiciously high number of questions. Some people assume that the sequel may already be in full swing, and they tried to send feedback for this as well. In the short term, all we know for now is that Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will debut on June 27, 2024.
