ASUS ROG Ally X Price Is Leaked – How Much Will The New Handheld Cost?!

TECH NEWS – ASUS ROG Ally X will be quite expensive, with a Ryzen Z1 Extreme drive.

ASUS has yet to release full specifications for the revamped ROG Ally console, dubbed the ROG Ally X. According to reports, it will be an improved version of the 2023 model. It will introduce new basic specifications with the same processor and screen.

Ally X will debut exclusively with the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor; they don’t plan a Z1, non-Extreme APU model.

That means anyone looking to buy an Ally for under $300-$400 should look to the 2023 model. Because it is unlikely that the X would reach this price category anytime soon. In addition, the X version will only offer a 1 TB SSD. The current version defaults to 512GB.

As announced by ASUS, the Ally X will boast a larger battery and increased memory capacity. Although ASUS did not reveal exact specifications, the battery is expected to be at least 40% larger. Memory options can vary between 24 GB and 32 GB. The memory development alone can significantly contribute to the price increase, and the memory speed of the Ally X has not yet been announced.

According to rumours from tipster MysteryLupin, the updated handheld will cost $799, a $100 price increase over the current version.

Since the screen and APU remain the same, that’s a relatively steep increase from the original $699 price of the “2023” model. Plus, considering that the older model often retails for less than $600, the price is likely to drop further with the introduction of the new model.

ASUS has confirmed that the ROG Ally X is scheduled to be officially unveiled at Computex on June 2nd.
