2K Could Make A Big Announcement At Summer Game Fest 2024?!

2K has confirmed that “the next iteration” in one of the “biggest and most beloved franchises” will be announced…

The video game industry is on fire, and gamers are very excited about it. 2K (a subsidiary of Take-Two) is one of the most respected companies in the industry. He created iconic video game franchises such as the Borderlands saga, BioShock or Mafia, among many others. Don’t be surprised if a new address from these popular IPs is announced in the coming weeks!

A few hours ago, it was reported that Summer Game Fest 2024 promises to be very serious, as they announced the 55 partners who will be present at the video game fair.

Companies such as Xbox, PlayStation, Capcom, EA and Sega will be present. However, another company may also surprise the community with its announcement, and this is 2K. Recently, the official Summer Game Fest X/Twitter account noted that the company will be announcing a new game in the company’s “biggest and most beloved franchises.”

“2K plans to reveal the next iteration in one of 2K’s biggest and most beloved franchises at Summer Game Fest on Friday, June 7.” In addition to Borderlands, BioShock and Mafia, the company owns popular turn-based strategy franchises such as Civilization and XCOM. There’s also the 2K Sports division, which includes NBA 2K, PGA Tour 2L and WWE 2K. So there were many options, but seeing this announcement, players are thinking of one of the three mentioned above.

Will Mafia 4, BioShock 4 or Borderlands 4 be the next big announcement of 2K?

A few days ago, we heard that Borderlands 4 might already be in development. However, we can’t forget that Gearbox is currently working on Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2. The latter is reportedly “still very promising and progressing well,” despite being kept under wraps.

There’s every reason to believe that Borderlands 4 will be among the games unveiled at Summer Game Fest 2024, but 2K could also surprise us with BioShock 4.

This is slightly less likely due to the many development issues that have arisen over the years. But after all these years of silence, there is a chance. We also can’t rule out Mafia 4, which was confirmed as a new game in the franchise for the 20th anniversary.
