Ubisoft’s free-to-play game (which ultimately led to the cancellation of Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland; the game will be in the news later today) has received four system requirements lists from the French publisher.
Let’s have a look at what configuration XDefiant needs:
- Minimum System Requirements – 1080p resolution:
- Operating system: Windows 10 (no version number given)
- Processor: Intel Core i3-10105F/AMD Ryzen 3 3100
- Memory: 8 GB RAM (dual channel = 2×4 GB)
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (4GB VRAM)/Intel Arc A380 (6GB VRAM)
- Free storage: 35GB, on SSD
Recommended System Requirements – 1080p Resolution
- Operating System: Windows 10 (version number omitted)

- Memory: 16 GB RAM (dual channel = 2×8 GB)
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (4GB VRAM)/Intel Arc A750 (8GB VRAM)

“Enthusiast system requirements – 1440p resolution
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (version number not specified)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-10400/AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16GB RAM (dual channel = 2x8GB)
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (6GB VRAM)/AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT (6GB VRAM)/Intel Arc A770 (16GB VRAM)

Ultra system requirements – 2160p/4K resolution
- Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (version number not specified)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K/AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

So, a processor released almost five years ago and a graphics card are the minimum requirements, which is understandable for an eSports-oriented game (like Counter-Strike 2 or The Finals), so Ubisoft is on the right track. The game will also support unlimited frame rate, ultra-wide monitors and Nvidia Reflex to reduce latency (lag).
XDefiant will be released on May 21.
