Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive (which will surely be coming to PC later) has a lot of cameos and guest stars, according to leaked gameplay.
That video has been made unavailable on YouTube (it’s been set to private), but a user on the ResetEra forum has listed it all. There are also pictures there so you can see them in more detail, but here we’ll just list the characters and franchises, because that list says a lot on its own, and it’s not so sure that it would be necessary to look at everyone to do that. But who have we found?
Abe (Oddworld); Aigis, Joker and Teddie (Persona); Aku Aku and Crash (Crash Bandicoot); Alucard (Castlevania); Alundra (The Adventures of Alundra); Amaterasu (Okami); Arthur (Ghosts ‘n Goblins); Ash (Concrete Genie); Auricom Racer, Piranha Racer and Qirex Racer (Wipeout); Buzz (Buzz! ); the Cat (Stray); Chaurli (God of War); Chloe, Elena, Sam and Sully (Uncharted); Chop Chop Master Onion (PaRappa the Rapper); Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil); Clicker, Ellie and Joel (The Last of Us); Cole (InFamous); Dante (Devil May Cry).
Then there’s Dart Feld (The Legend of Dragoon); Dusty and Raven (Gravity Rush); Erend, Rost, Sylens and Tallneck (Horizon); Iota (Tearaway); Jaster Rogue (Rogue Galaxy); Kazuma Kiryu (Yakuza); Kazuya Mishima (Tekken); Ken Masters and Ryu (Street Fighter); Kena (Kena: Bridge of Spirits); Klonoa (Klonoa); Knack (Knack); Kuro and Toro (Doko Demo Issyo); Kutaro (Puppeteer); Little Devil (Devil Dice); Max (Dark Chronicles); Moss (Moss); Octodad (Octodad: Dadliest Catch); Patapon (Patapon).
Then there’s Psycho Mantis, Raiden and Solid Snake (Metal Gear); Pyramid Head (Silent Hill); Robbit (Jumping Flash); Rudy (Wild Arms); Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet); Sam Porter Bridges (Death Stranding); Sir Daniel Fortesque (Medievil); Slayer of Demons (Demon’s Souls); Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear); Specter (Ape Escape); Spyro (Spyro the Dragon); The Prince (Katamari); and Ulala (Space Channel 5).
That’s 72 characters in total. Zero references to Killzone? Zero references to Gran Turismo? Or at least there could have been a reference to Polyphony Digital’s other now forgotten IP, Omega Boost…
