Round 8 Studio: Creators of Lies of P Work on DLC And Are Developing a New IP!

As for the DLC for Lies of P, publisher Neowiz from South Korea has confirmed when we can expect it, and meanwhile, Round 8 Studio has already started its next project!

Round 8 Studio has confirmed that they are not only working on a sequel to Lies of P, but they are also releasing the DLC for the first episode first, and are also in the process of creating a new IP. This one is supposed to be a survival horror game set in a sci-fi world, so we could also think of Dead Space for this definition. According to Neowiz, it’s too early to talk about the status of the yet-unnamed project. All the publisher has said is that it’s one of Round 8 Studio’s console and PC games. It may take another 2-3 years of development, so it could be ready for PlayStation 6 and the next-gen Xbox by then.

We haven’t heard much about the DLC for Lies of P either. Neowiz and Round 8 Studio have been pretty tight-lipped this time around. We don’t expect the DLC this year, it will arrive in the first quarter of 2025, so sometime between January and March. “For the DLC of The Lies of P and the sequel, we want to do better at what we did well and improve in areas where we have room to grow. It may sound simple, but I think sticking to the basics is anything but easy. Fortunately, I have amazing colleagues in whom I can place my full trust,” said Choi Jiwan, the director, earlier this year.

Lies of P will be released in September 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was also included in the Xbox Game Pass game lineup at launch. The reviews have been pretty good, with an average score of 84 (Xbox Series), 83 (PC) and 80 (PlayStation 5) on a scale of 1-100 on Metacritic, based on reviewers’ opinions.

Let’s hope that the sequel and the new IP will be just as good.
