The game from CampFire Studio and Qoland Games will soon end its early access period and will also receive a major content update.

Soulmask is a sandbox game that focuses on an authentic survival experience. As the “last one” blessed with the mysterious mask, players will struggle to survive in a primitive land steeped in mysterious beliefs and carve a path to ascension. Start from scratch, explore, build, recruit tribesmen to strengthen your clan, and ultimately unravel the mysterious truths behind the civilizations of this world. Envy an NPC’s powerful talent or skill? Make it your own! In Soulmask, synchronize your consciousness with tribesmen as you recruit them to strengthen your tribe. Possess and take over their bodies and transform into anyone you choose. If you can find them in the game, you can possess them!

As you progress, discover more masks that embody the spirit of ancient heroes. Embody the original appearance of these heroes and their unique abilities: harness the gift of immortality, walk among your enemies hidden in the shadows, fire homing missiles with deadly accuracy… Now there are 10 impressive masks for you to discover! Play as a lone wolf without feeling lost or lonely with a variety of different NPCs. With different personalities and talents, you can recruit bloodthirsty warriors, skilled hunters, ingenious craftsmen, and even a drunk, lazy alcoholic!

Powerful AI and command support allows you to set up and manage the work flow of your clan members with a high degree of freedom: farming, harvesting, assembly line production, base patrol, automatic repair and even maintenance… everything can be automated and customized by you. Even when you’re away from the keyboard, your tribesmen will continue to work, keeping the tribe growing and thriving. Smoke a cigar or crack open a beer after a hard day. Take a hot bath and soothe those aching muscles. Your tribesmen will always find something to do after work. Dance in the happy atmosphere of your tribal campfire dance!

The game currently offers 8 different types of weapons and 75 different supporting combat skills and special action modules, each of which strictly recreates the experience of real physical characteristics. Tailor your fighting style to defeat your enemies: Smash a cat’s skull with a sledgehammer or attack flying creatures with spears and arrows – even if you’re a fist fighter, find your unique style among boxing masters and assassins! Explore a vast world of rainforests, rivers, deserts, plateaus, wetlands, volcanoes, and snowcapped mountains as you experience, survive, and challenge the unique climates and creatures of each region.

Explore ancient ruins and stunning temples scattered throughout the world that seem to have a mysterious connection to the masks, civilizations, and secret past of this world. With over 500 hours of gameplay content, the choice is yours: farm, raise pigs to become the richest tribe, or explore the world’s mysterious ruins in search of the Eternal Realm. Use your wits and imagination to build camps on cliffs and treacherous beaches. Carefully outfit your home fortress with a variety of weapons, patrolling defenses, and traps.

While exploring and adventuring outdoors, be on the lookout for waves of hungry, crazed beasts or barbarians from other tribal factions who may seize the opportunity to invade your homeland. Arm your tribesmen and send them out on patrol… and don’t forget to keep some messenger parrots handy! Choose Player vs. Player mode to compete with more players on the same map! Observe the weak points of your opponents’ bases while pushing the limits of your own fortress design! You’ll definitely want to see a horde of fierce attackers trying to storm your doorstep, only to fall through the trap doors and be trapped in the dark cells you’ve created just for them!

The game currently supports offline single player or online multiplayer for up to 50 players on official servers. You can also set up your own LAN host or private server and invite others to join. On private, non-official servers, you can adjust numerous parameters to tailor the game experience to your own preferences, allowing you and your friends to explore the rich world of Soulmask at your own pace. The game also supports the player content creation community – Steam Workshop – and provides powerful Soulmask modkits. Any player can contribute original content and create their own game world.

Soulmask was released in Early Access on May 31st of last year. Early Access will end sometime this year and will also receive major DLC.
