The Xbox Series and Several Accessories Got More Expensive; Xbox Game Pass Not Affected!

One starts and the others follow: it’s a bit ridiculous that they make the consoles MORE EXPENSIVE more than four and a half years after their launch.

Microsoft has announced that almost everything will be more expensive as of May 1st. A spokesperson for the Redmond tech giant told IGN that they understand that times are tough and have made this decision out of prudence, taking into account market conditions and rising development costs. Microsoft will continue to focus on enabling Xbox users to play more games on any display and provide them with value.

Forget the PR talk, let’s look at what was and what has been since May 1st, so they didn’t even have time to prepare, but they immediately raised the price of everything, which is very fair for a company that is making a fool of itself with Windows and Office products:

  • Xbox Series S – 512 GB: €/$300 – €350/$380
  • Xbox Series S – 1 TB: €/$350 – €400/$430
  • Xbox Series X: €550/$500 – €/$600
  • Xbox Series X Digital: €500/$450 – €/$550
  • Xbox Series X – 2 TB, galaxy black: €650/$600 – €700/$730
  • Xbox wireless controller: €/$65 – price unchanged
  • Xbox wireless controller, color: €/$70 – price unchanged
  • Xbox wireless controller, Special Edition: €80/$70 – €/$80
  • Xbox wireless controller, Limited Edition: €/$80 – €/$90
  • Xbox Elite wireless controller Series 2 (Core): €140/$150 – €/$150
  • Xbox Elite wireless controller Series 2 (Full): €/$180 – €/$200
  • Xbox stereo headset: $65 – price unchanged (no European pricing mentioned)
  • Xbox wireless headset: $110 – $120 (no European pricing mentioned)

The Xbox Game Pass pricing did not change. It’s nothing more than just another whip on the back of the players who will have to pay more.
