Huawei Showcases New Wearables in Berlin: Sensors, Style, and Long Battery Life in Focus

TECH NEWS – At its Berlin showcase, Huawei introduced two new smartwatches, open-fit wireless earbuds, and an upgraded tablet — merging stylish looks with everyday functionality and advanced sensor technology.

At the Berlin event, Huawei expanded its portfolio with smart devices targeting both health-conscious users and those seeking elegant, durable tech. The WATCH 5 and WATCH FIT 4 smartwatches, the FreeBuds 6 earbuds, and the 12.2-inch MatePad Pro tablet all aim to blend aesthetics with technical sophistication. According to IDC, Huawei was the world’s fastest-growing wearables manufacturer in 2024 and has remained the Chinese market leader for six consecutive years.

HUAWEI WATCH 5: smarter sensors, refined design

The WATCH 5 series introduces the enhanced TruSense system, paired with a new X-TAP super sensor module to deliver quick, near-accurate health data with a single touch. Gesture control is also upgraded—supporting double-pinching and double-tapping to answer calls or trigger the camera remotely. The streamlined design comes in two new colors (violet and sand gold) and sizes (42 mm and 46 mm). Crafted from aerospace-grade titanium alloy, 904L stainless steel, and sapphire glass, the watch balances durability with a premium finish.

WATCH FIT 4: sport modes, precision sensors, light build

The WATCH FIT 4 elevates durability and functionality with a sapphire glass display, aluminum housing, and a titanium alloy frame. The Pro model is only 9.3 mm thick and ultra-lightweight, offering comfort for all-day wear. It includes modes for trail running, scuba diving up to 40 meters, and a professional-grade golf mode. The improved TruSense system ensures accurate tracking during outdoor activities. With extended battery life, it requires minimal charging, making it an ideal companion for travel or training.

FreeBuds 6 and MatePad Pro: design meets productivity

The FreeBuds 6 earbuds offer a comfortable open-fit form and excellent sound quality. Dual drivers deliver dynamic bass and crisp highs, while the ergonomic, waterdrop-inspired shape and Stable and Clear Call function ensure reliable voice communication.

The 12.2-inch MatePad Pro tablet features a new Tandem OLED PaperMatte display for glare-free use even in bright light. The Huawei Glide keyboard includes a built-in stylus charging slot and provides a laptop-like typing experience. The updated Huawei Notes app adds enhanced tools for efficient note-taking and multitasking.

Both the WATCH 5 and WATCH FIT 4 lines come with a one-year extended manufacturer warranty and three months of free Health+ access. The WATCH 5 is available for pre-order from May 15–25 and goes on sale May 26.
