Character Designs from a Cancelled Batman Game Have Surfaced!

Among the now-defunct project’s assets is an older Bruce Wayne. Perhaps Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) finally came to its senses.

Earlier this year, WBD canceled the previously announced Wonder Woman game, much to the dismay of DC fans worldwide. However, the Wonder Woman game wasn’t the only project that was canceled. WBD had also previously canceled a Batman game featuring Damian Wayne. Although the game was never officially announced, its existence was leaked a few years ago, and it was codenamed Project Sabbath. The game was supposed to take place ten years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight, with Bruce Wayne’s son taking over for his father.

Concept artwork is available from Warner Bros. Montréal’s former lead artist, Rodrigue Pralier. He shared images of Damian Wayne and an older Bruce Wayne. In addition to these images, there is concept art for Killer Croc and Huntress. The art style is different from what we’ve become used to in the Arkham universe, which was produced by Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Montréal.

According to leaked information, Project Sabbath was supposed to be the fifth game in the Arkhamverse and a sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight. It was reportedly set to take place ten years after the events of Rocksteady’s last mainline Batman: Arkham game and was apparently inspired by Batman Beyond. Although Warner Bros. has yet to announce a new Batman game, the company has said it intends to focus on Batman, Harry Potter, and other spin-off franchises in the gaming industry.

Earlier this year, rumors circulated that Rocksteady was working on a new single-player Batman game after the failure of Suicide Squad. Kill the Justice League. However, even if the studio is doing so, it doesn’t necessarily mean that Damian Wayne will take over the role of Batman. It’s likely that WB Games Montréal’s assets and ideas for Project Sabbath will no longer be used. Instead, Rocksteady and WBD will start the project from scratch.
