SkyShowtime Orders Second Season of Dexter: Resurrection

MOVIE NEWS – SkyShowtime has officially announced the return of the fan-favorite serial killer in a gripping second season of Dexter: Resurrection, with Screen Actors Guild® and Golden Globe® winner Michael C. Hall reprising his iconic role.

The first season of Dexter: Resurrection, currently streaming exclusively on SkyShowtime, takes place three weeks after Dexter Morgan (Hall) was shot in the chest by his own son and wakes up from a coma to find that Harrison (Jack Alcott) has vanished without a trace.

Realizing the trauma he inflicted on his son, Dexter travels to New York to find him and make amends. But that’s no simple task. When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) starts asking questions, Dexter realizes that his past is about to catch up with him.

As father and son dive into their own dark worlds while trying to survive in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves in deeper than ever before — and only together can they find their way out.

The showrunner and executive producer is Emmy® nominee Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Dexter: Original Sin, Nurse Jackie). Additional cast members include Uma Thurman as Charley, David Zayas as Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera, James Remar as Harry Morgan, and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater.

Guest stars in the first season include David Dastmalchian, Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, and Eric Stonestreet. Produced by Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios, the series is led by Phillips, with Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) also serving as an executive producer alongside Scott Reynolds (Dexter, Dexter: Original Sin), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris), Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), and Marcos Siega (Dexter: New Blood).

All seasons of Dexter, as well as Dexter: New Blood and Dexter: Original Sin, are available on SkyShowtime. The first six episodes of Dexter: Resurrection are streaming now, with new episodes dropping weekly.

SkyShowtime is available through select TV providers or via Apple iOS, tvOS, Android devices, Android TV, Google Chromecast, LG and Samsung smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV (in select markets), and the Prime Video platform, as well as online at www.skyshowtime.com.
