Capcom confirmed at The Game Awards 2025 that Resident Evil Requiem will feature two full protagonists. Grace Ashcroft is joined by the returning Leon S. Kennedy, creating a dual-structure experience that blends high-stakes action with classic survival horror tension.
The narrative unfolds through two parallel investigations that converge inside an abandoned hotel. Leon and FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft are drawn into the same mystery from different angles, slowly uncovering connections that trace back to the long-buried truth of the 1998 Raccoon City Incident.
Gameplay reflects this split. Leon’s segments focus on aggressive, cinematic combat, while Grace’s chapters lean heavily into vulnerability, atmosphere, and psychological pressure. Capcom is deliberately offering two distinct playstyles within one cohesive horror framework.
Additional announcements included a Porsche collaboration, expanded Deluxe Edition content, Switch 2 support, and a slate of upcoming Resident Evil-related reveals planned for 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem launches February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
