Jensen Huang: “It’s Not AI That Takes Jobs, but the Person Using AI!” [VIDEO]

TECH NEWS – Nvidia’s CEO believes artificial intelligence itself will not be what wipes out jobs.

Nvidia’s chief executive said that the AI era will create more jobs and stressed that artificial intelligence is not a replacement for humanity, but rather a platform for generating new kinds of work. In a talk at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Huang once again described the rise of AI as the industrial revolution of the modern world. A great deal has already been said about AI and its benefits, but alongside that, the debate has been going on for a long time about the consequences it may have for humanity, especially for jobs. AI makes many things easier, yet ordinary people still carry a very real fear that they could lose their work to artificial intelligence in the near future.

Huang does not believe that will be the case, and he argues that AI will ultimately create more jobs around the world. In his view, artificial intelligence should be treated as a platform that leads to the creation of more work. Human evolution has always revolved around adaptability. People adapt quickly, and that remains our greatest strength. Those who adapt and integrate AI into their work will benefit the most from the AI revolution. To push that forward, Nvidia and many companies across the globe are developing increasingly smart uses for artificial intelligence.

AI used to be primitive, then generative AI arrived and changed everything almost overnight. Now agentic AI is the main topic, and we have already seen a global ecosystem take shape to satisfy the growing needs of leading companies. Not everyone is thrilled about artificial intelligence, of course. Nvidia’s DLSS 5 announcement also triggered significant backlash. DLSS 5 is an AI-driven technology designed to improve game graphics, but while many publishers welcomed it, a number of artists voiced concern online that it could interfere with the creator’s original artistic vision. Nvidia tried to make it clear that the technology fully respects the original intent of the work.

“Most people probably won’t lose their jobs to AI. They’re more likely to lose them to someone who uses AI. That is why we have to make sure everyone uses AI. You hear plenty of examples where someone who used to be a carpenter is now effectively an architect because of AI. They type things into AI and it produces incredible plans or sketches, so suddenly they can become interior designers. They elevate their craft, their service, and their business to a level where they can offer more. I think the first thing we need to do is make people understand that AI is not some incredible technology that nobody can use. It is an incredible technology that everybody should know how to use. That is why it is the fastest-adopted technology in history, because it is so easy to use. But overall, my feeling, my conviction, is that in the end we will create more jobs. By the end of this industrial revolution, more people will be working than at the beginning. Exactly like at the end of the previous one and at the start of this one”, Huang said.

We have also seen many businesses and users, whether on PC or smartphone, integrating AI agents into their daily workflows. That is the direction the industry is moving in, and the increased demand has already led to new factories being built that require thousands of workers to operate. So in a certain sense, AI really is creating jobs, and as more people enter the AI era, we will probably see that happen more and more often.

It increasingly looks as though the future will revolve around AI, and Huang, who is fond of presenting himself as a genuine visionary, may not be speaking entirely out of thin air with his latest remarks.
