Xbox Has Announced 6 New Game Pass Titles for Late April, but 9 More Games Are Also on the Way Out

As the month heads toward its final stretch, Microsoft is refreshing the Game Pass lineup once again, and this time it is using six genuinely new additions to fill out the closing days of April. The full list from Redmond looks longer at first glance, but four of those games had already been confirmed earlier, which means the real fresh wave comes down to six titles. As usual, the mix is all over the place in a fairly deliberate way: sci-fi, strategy, shooters, and a few day-one arrivals meant to make the update feel a bit punchier than it might otherwise.

One of the most notable additions in the second half of April is Aphelion, which arrives on April 28 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld devices, and PC. A day later, on April 29, Trepang2 joins the service. Then April 30 brings a small cluster of arrivals all at once: Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era in Game Preview form for PC, alongside Sledding Game and TerraTech Legion for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The current wave then wraps up with Final Fantasy V on May 5 across cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

These Are the New Games Coming to Game Pass

  • Aphelion – Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Portable, PC – April 28
  • Trepang2 – Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC – April 29
  • Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era (Game Preview) – PC – April 30
  • Sledding Game (Game Preview) – Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC – April 30
  • TerraTech Legion – Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC – April 30
  • Final Fantasy V – Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC – May 5

9 Games Are Leaving on April 30

Of course, Game Pass updates are never just about what comes in. Whatever enters through one door usually means something else gets pushed out through the other. This time, nine games are leaving the service, and all of them remain available only until April 30, 2026.

  • Citizen Sleeper – Cloud, Console, PC
  • Creatures of Ava – Cloud, Console, PC
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 – Cloud, Console, PC
  • Endless Legend 2 – PC
  • Goat Simulator – Cloud, Console
  • Goat Simulator Remastered – Cloud, Console, PC
  • Hunt: Showdown 1896 – Cloud, Console, PC
  • NHL 24 (EA Play) – Cloud, Console
  • Revenge of the Savage Planet – Cloud, Console, PC

So this latest update feels more like a reshuffle than a full-scale surge, but there are still a few strong hooks in it. Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era alone is enough to get strategy fans paying attention, while Aphelion could easily end up being the sci-fi title that generates more buzz over the next few days than people expect right now. At the same time, that list of nine departures is not exactly painless either, so anyone who still meant to squeeze time out of those games is now very much on the clock.
