MOVIE NEWS – The full trailer for Evil Dead Burn has arrived, and the next installment in the Evil Dead franchise clearly has no intention of behaving politely. Sébastien Vaniček’s film continues the series after Evil Dead Rise with a new family nightmare, fresh Deadite carnage, and brutally inventive kills.
Evil Dead Burn is the next franchise installment following Evil Dead Rise, continuing the long-running horror series with more Deadite thrills. The movie got its marketing machine moving a few weeks ago with the release of the first teaser trailer, a striking single-shot sequence filled with absolute pandemonium and violent dread. It served as an impressive showcase of what the film has to offer, while photos released last week gave audiences another glimpse of the Deadite look. Now, the horror feature has officially released its full trailer, which centers on a family facing a brutal encounter.
Sébastien Vaniček is directing the upcoming installment of the bloody series, taking over after Lee Cronin put his stamp on Evil Dead Rise. Franchise architects Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi serve as producers, while Bruce Campbell and Cronin serve as executive producers. Evil Dead Burn stars Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, George Pullar, Maude Davey, and Greta Van Den Brink, giving the movie plenty of Deadite fodder.
Evil Dead Burn centers on a grieving widow who seeks comfort in her family. However, through demonic forces and one evil little book called the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, the family finds itself contending with powers far beyond its understanding. The official synopsis says that after the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites, turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell, she comes to discover that the vows she took in life live on, even in death.
The new red-band Evil Dead Burn trailer shared by Warner Bros. does not hold back, strongly suggesting that the film will continue the franchise’s more brutal side. Evil Dead Burn is currently slated to hit theaters on July 10, 2026, continuing to cultivate the franchise in bold new ways. Evil Dead Rise confirmed that interest in the series is still thriving, as that film was originally intended as a streaming release before being bumped to theaters. The decision paid off, with the film earning $147 million worldwide. Its success helped Evil Dead Burn get the green light, while another installment, Evil Dead Wrath, is already in the works.
Vaniček has clearly shown an adept hand at capturing the look and feel of the Evil Dead films, and the trailer does not hold back on the carnage. The director has teased that his film may not be as bloody as some of the other entries in the series, but he told Premiere magazine that it would still be “brutal,” stating: “It may be the least bloody of the Evil Dead films, but undoubtedly the most violent and brutal. Let’s just say I’m aiming more for the unsettling feeling of the famous teeth-on-the-sidewalk scene from American History X than excessive gore.”
Evil Dead Burn still has plenty of thrills under wraps, with many speculating that it has a stronger connection to the franchise’s past than it is currently letting on. The film is also releasing in an excellent year for horror, which has already seen notable titles such as Hokum, Send Help, and They Will Kill You. Thankfully, Evil Dead remains a unique franchise offering something unabashedly bleak and violent, with its Deadites still standing among the ultimate horror villains to watch this summer.
