Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen: There’ll Be No Shortage of New Features! [VIDEO]

The long-rumored DLC for Dragon’s Dogma II was also announced at Capcom Spotlight. It will be preceded by a major update.

Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen director Kento Kinoshita joined the show to discuss the highly anticipated expansion, which introduces new gameplay options and adventures for Arisen. Following the June update, Dragon’s Dogma II will receive another update in late August. This update will improve performance across all platforms, add more save slots, adjust the Dragonsplague condition, and increase the number of weapon skill slots from four to six.

Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen features a brand-new story set in the long-abandoned northern region of Norgan. It also introduces 12 challenge dungeons where Arisen can hone their skills, as well as new hair and tattoo options that allow players to customize their Arisen and main Pawn. Kinoshita explained the Relic Expedition Cycle that players will experience while exploring the frigid region of Norgan. There, they will discover relics, appraise them to unlock powerful new weapons and skills, and use those new tools to delve deeper into the secrets of the heartless Fallen Dragon and its pursuer, Eir.

Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen will be released on October 9, 2026, with an MSRP of $50. The Dark Arisen expansion will also be available as downloadable content for the base game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC for an MSRP of $30. The Norgan Fashion Set – Northern Attire will be available as a pre-order bonus and can be accessed via in-game storage at launch. Players who pre-order Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, or PC via Steam will also get immediate access to Dragon’s Dogma II prior to the expansion’s release.

Capcom’s game just barely missed the September release window.
