MOVIE NEWS – Stranger Things is back once again, this time through a new release that takes fans behind the scenes of one of Netflix’s biggest cultural phenomena. The project promises exclusive interviews, previously unseen material and a closer look at the work that brought Hawkins and its nightmares to life.
Stranger Things is returning in a new form that gives fans a chance to look behind the curtain of the hit supernatural series. The show is also set to receive a physical edition later this month, but those wanting to revisit Hawkins and its darker side do not have to wait that long.
Netflix has released Stranger Things: The Official Story Behind the Legendary Series, a new book exploring how the series was made. It includes exclusive interviews with the cast and crew, a large selection of photographs and a code that unlocks previously unseen content through Tudum. The book is currently available exclusively through Target for $50, while Netflix has already shared several pages online. Those previews combine nostalgic material, behind-the-scenes images of the cast and a closer look at the work behind the creatures haunting Hawkins.
Stranger Things: The Official Story Behind the Legendary Series is aimed at readers who love the Netflix show as much as they enjoy the filmmaking process behind it. The book includes storyboards for some of the series’ best-known moments, production images, costume photography, maps and creature concept art, while also showing how the team created the Demogorgon. All five seasons are covered, allowing readers to revisit the story from its beginning through to its conclusion.
Netflix is also continuing to expand the legacy of Stranger Things. This year brought the animated prequel spin-off Stranger Things: Tales from ’85, which follows the original group during a separate adventure set in the early years of the main series. The show received mixed reactions from critics and audiences after arriving in April, but Netflix still renewed it shortly afterwards, with Season 2 also scheduled for release in 2026.
Another live-action project set in the Stranger Things universe remains in development as well. Details surrounding its story are still scarce, although the Duffer Brothers are heavily involved and have already suggested that the new series will move significantly away from the events of the original show. A showrunner and cast have not yet been announced, so the project is still some distance from becoming a reality. Until then, the new book offers fans another reason to return to Hawkins and the world that changed Netflix forever.
