Gwendolyn’s English voice actor is leaving the role, although she will continue to support Eclipse Glow Games as an adviser.
The cast of the upcoming Tides of Annihilation has undergone an important change. Jennifer English has stepped away from voicing Gwendolyn, the game’s protagonist, due to personal health concerns. She informed the studio of her decision in June and received its full support.
English will not sever her connection with the project. She is staying on in an advisory capacity and helped several cast members search for a suitable replacement during the transition. Her personal recommendation also played a significant part in selecting the new voice actor.
The New Gwendolyn Is Already Preparing for Gamescom
The unnamed replacement is currently recording dialogue for the playable demo planned for Gamescom in August. Players will hear the new performance there for the first time, while official presentations tied to the event will also offer an early sample of Gwendolyn’s new voice.
Eclipse Glow Games thanked Jennifer English for her work and stressed that her performance had a major influence on Gwendolyn’s personality. Her contribution will therefore remain part of the character even after the casting change. The studio has not yet revealed the identity of the replacement.
