Gearbox’s game is gearing up for more content updates. We can expect two over the next two months.
The latest piece of premium paid downloadable content, Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions, delivers all-new narrative content and high-tier gear. Arriving on July 30, Bounty Pack 4 will be available for purchase as two separate items: the core narrative expansion Murders and Acquisitions, and Vault Card 4. In Bounty Pack 4, players will venture through a polluted desert canyon known as the Toxic Scowl to help Levaine, the leader of the Electi, settle a score between two feuding Ripper factions: the pacifist commune known as the Flock and the aggressive Blasphemers. This new, repeatable mission features choice-driven encounters resulting in different dialogue, altered combat situations, and varied final boss fight assistance based on the choices made.
Players can access this mission after their first encounter with Levaine in Carcadia Burn during the main campaign. Completing the mission unlocks a Vault Hunter skin usable by all Vault Hunters, a vehicle, and an ECHO-4 drone skin. Those brave enough to take on the final boss and three mini-bosses in the Toxic Scowl will have a chance to earn new exclusive loot, including one Pearlescent weapon and six pieces of Legendary gear. Alongside the narrative content, Vault Card 4 allows players to earn desert-chic rewards, including 24 cosmetic items and four rerollable pieces of gear, through gameplay. Progression is driven entirely by experience gained through exploring Kairos, killing enemies, and completing daily and weekly challenges.
Story Pack 2 launches on September 10 alongside the 1.10 update. It centers on the return of the legendary Beastmaster and playable Vault Hunter from Borderlands 3. This all-new narrative campaign follows FL4K as they make their triumphant return and continue The Hunt on Kairos to track down their missing skag companion, Mr. Chew. The pursuit leads to a volcanic, overgrown resort on a lush jungle island, where the Tediore Corporation is staging a covert invasion.
September 10 also marks the launch of a new playable Vault Hunter: Loveless the Hacker. Loveless is an ex-Anshin hacker turned assassin with high-end cybernetics and a digital virus she created that can transform into a physical extension of her will. Players got a first look at Loveless in her official Vault Hunter teaser, which was shared during the previous DevCast. Also coming on September 10 is Bounty Pack 5, which features new narrative mission content and Vault Card 5. More details regarding this upcoming Bounty Pack will be shared closer to its release date.
The content updates will continue unabated in the near future.
