The Blood of Dawnwalker’s PC Requirements Look Surprisingly Low – but There’s a Catch

Rebel Wolves has published the final PC system requirements for The Blood of Dawnwalker, and at first glance they look far more forgiving than the previous figures. The numbers, however, assume Balanced upscaling through DLSS, FSR or XeSS.

Several graphics card requirements have dropped sharply compared with the earlier recommendations. The developers clarified in a reply on X that every performance tier in the new chart uses Balanced upscaling, although that condition is not clearly displayed on the published image itself.

For 1080p at 30 fps on Low settings, the game asks for an Intel Core i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 GB of memory, and either a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580. Every configuration requires 60 GB of free space on an SSD, while the operating system must be Windows 10 or newer with DirectX 12 support.

The final The Blood of Dawnwalker system requirements

Target Processor Graphics card VRAM
1080p / 30 fps / Low Intel Core i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580 at least 6 GB
1080p / 60 fps / Medium Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X RTX 2060 Super, GTX 1070 Ti, RX 5700 or Intel Arc A750 at least 8 GB
1440p / 60 fps / High Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X RTX 4060, RX 7600 XT or Intel Arc B580 at least 8 GB
4K / 60 fps / Ultra Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D RTX 4070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070 at least 12 GB

All four profiles call for 16 GB of system memory. The two middle tiers share the same CPU requirement, while the graphics recommendation for 1440p at High settings remains relatively modest.

The RTX 5090 is gone, but upscaling is now part of the equation

The biggest change appears in the 4K Ultra recommendation. Rebel Wolves previously listed a GeForce RTX 5090 for reaching 60 fps, but the final chart now says an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 9070 will be enough—provided the game is running with Balanced upscaling.

The processor requirement is still demanding: the 4K profile specifies a Ryzen 7 7800X3D or Core i7-12700K. Lower CPU figures than before may point to optimisation work, but the dramatic reduction in GPU demands is mainly explained by the use of upscaling.

The Blood of Dawnwalker launches on September 3. That is when players will be able to see how closely these final requirements reflect real-world performance and what image quality the Balanced mode delivers at the listed resolutions.
