After the two Ori games, the studio set its sights on something completely new and moved the release date beyond the previously planned timeframe.

Moon Studios has pushed back the release of version 1.0 of the action RPG No Rest for the Wicked from October to March. The game will launch first on PlayStation 5 and PC, with the Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 versions expected at a later date. Incidentally, No Rest for the Wicked first launched on PC via Early Access on April 18, 2024.

According to Moon Studios, the additional development time will allow the team to improve gameplay performance, refine the class system, and polish the game to its fullest potential. Additional closed beta tests are planned for the coming months, followed by an open beta in December. Further updates will be reported in the ongoing Wicked Inside developer diaries, where the team will share details and nuances as the game progresses.

Moon Studios previously announced that early buyers would receive the Founders Pack, a special in-game item pack, as a token of appreciation for their support. The original deadline to purchase the game and receive the Founders Pack was July 10, but due to the delay, the deadline has been extended to January 1, 2027, for PC players. The offer will also be applied retroactively to anyone who purchased the game after July 10. PlayStation 5 pre-orders will begin in January 2027 and will also include the Founders Pack.

The Founders Pack includes a new secret hideout, Spirit Cavern, which bridges both worlds and is the legacy of Moon Studios. It also includes Sayer’s Vow, an all-new Sword in the Stone that only early adopters can extract in the game world. Players will also receive a custom Founders tag to ensure they are clearly identified as early adopters. Finally, the pack includes access to an exclusive Public Beta Test Realm reserved just for Founders members, even after the 1.0 game launch.

The reason behind this is almost certainly Grand Theft Auto VI.
