[SOP 2024] Monster Hunter Wilds Release Date Revealed – New Monsters Also Unveiled! [VIDEO]

In addition to the final date, Capcom has released new details about Monster Hunter Wilds’ monsters and special editions.

During yesterday’s State of Play show, Capcom revealed a new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds (see below), featuring new enemy types and – finally – a release date for the long-awaited action RPG! The game will be available on February 28, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The new video for Monster Hunter Wilds revolves around the protagonists’ characters, which is one of the most anticipated aspects of the generational step. But we also saw many interesting things about the gameplay, such as destructible parts of the environment or new attack patterns in water.

New monsters and details in Monster Hunter Wilds

Three new big monsters have been revealed:

  • Arkveld: Nicknamed the “White Wraith”, which attacks with chain-like appendages on its wings.
  • Uth Duna: A new leviathan that dominates the Scarlet Forest region.
  • Quematrice: An extremely violent and territorial brute wyvern.

We also saw new Lynian-class monsters named Wudwud; the successors of Gajalaka known from MH World and other tributes already seen in the series.

Although Monster Hunter Wilds cannot be added to the cart in any of the stores where it will arrive at the time of writing, the trailer has the words “now available for pre-order.” This means your listing will be updated within hours.

We already know that there will be three editions: the standard edition, the Deluxe Edition (base game + Deluxe Pack) and the Premium Deluxe Edition (the former + two cosmetic packs and some Wyver accessories).

Pre-ordering the game will reward you with a Hunter Guild Knight armour set, which veteran fans may already be familiar with. Also with a talisman, repeating the same strategy he followed in World 2018. It is possible that as the publisher makes further announcements, details about the PC version may also arrive soon.
