MOVIE NEWS – Ewan McGregor first took on the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Phantom Menace in 1999, later reprising it in Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005). Although the prequel trilogy received mixed reviews, McGregor’s portrayal was widely praised, with many considering him a perfect fit for the character, originally brought to life by the legendary Alec Guinness.
After Lucasfilm became part of Disney, the Star Wars universe was revitalized, leading to the creation of an Obi-Wan Kenobi series focusing on the Jedi Master’s hermit years, set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Fans were especially thrilled to see Hayden Christensen return as Darth Vader, making the series even more exciting.
Now, it appears that wasn’t the end of the story. While originally intended as a limited series, its success sparked discussions about a second season. McGregor has expressed his enthusiasm for returning in the past, but during the recent Los Angeles Comic-Con, he shared even more exciting news for fans:
“Ewan McGregor mentioned that discussions are already in progress for a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and that he would love to wear Clone Wars armor and have more flashback scenes with Hayden Christensen. The crowd went wild over the announcement.”
