Hugh Jackman Caught in the Crossfire of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s Explosive Legal Battle

MOVIE NEWS – The ongoing legal dispute between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively was already shaping up to be a high-stakes showdown, but no one expected Hugh Jackman to get roped into the chaos. Yet, that’s exactly what’s happening, according to sources close to the case. The Deadpool & Wolverine actor may be called to testify, as Baldoni’s legal team aims to uncover how much Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, influenced the situation while their Marvel blockbuster was in production.

As it turns out, both It Ends With Us and Deadpool & Wolverine were being filmed around the same time, meaning Jackman may have been privy to private conversations between Reynolds and Lively. Baldoni’s lawyers are determined to explore whether the character Nicepool was modeled after Baldoni himself and how his off-screen conflicts with Lively may have made their way into the movie. None of the key figures—Jackman, Lively, or Reynolds—have publicly addressed the matter, but that hasn’t stopped speculation from running wild, especially with rumors swirling that Taylor Swift could also be dragged into the legal firestorm.

“Hugh Jackman Will Have to Testify,” Claims Insider

According to Daily Mail reports, Baldoni’s team is going all in to build the most damning case possible against Lively and Reynolds, with a particular focus on the character Nicepool in Deadpool & Wolverine. The character, who sports a man bun, references Ladypool’s pregnancy (Lively’s character in the franchise), and delivers a string of feminist one-liners before being unceremoniously killed by Deadpool, is at the heart of the dispute.

Attorney Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni, insists that the character’s design and dialogue are no coincidence. “It’s crystal clear. The hair, the pregnancy comments—it’s all deliberate,” Freedman argued on The Megyn Kelly Show. A Daily Mail insider claims this is precisely why Jackman’s testimony will be crucial. “There is absolutely no way he avoids being deposed,” the source stated. “If this goes to trial, he’s going to have to testify.”

The same source asserts that Baldoni’s legal team is committed to piecing together a full timeline of Reynolds’ behavior during the production of It Ends With Us. “Hugh was around Ryan constantly at that time. He saw Blake and Ryan together in private settings and may know details that will be key to the case.”

Jackman isn’t the only high-profile name on Baldoni’s witness list. Previous reports suggest that Taylor Swift, Lively’s longtime best friend, may also be called to testify about her alleged involvement in persuading Lively to push for a script revision that impacted Baldoni’s role in the film.

The case isn’t set to go to trial until March 2026, meaning Hollywood’s latest legal circus is only just getting started.
