Sony’s virtual reality headset has been announced over a year ago, and we also saw several of the games in action as well. However, it seems that Sony have already decided on when it will be launched, what the price of it will be, plus they seem to have renamed the Project Morpheus to a somewhat awful sounding name…
Project Morpheus might be renamed to PlayStation RealEyes, if we can believe the information on the Belgian Sony website. According to them, the RealEyes (we need to get used to this name…) is going to be launched on January 29, 2016 – it’s a Tuesday, so for a North American release, it would make sense. The price is 300 euros, which is probably going to be 300 dollars. We have no comment on the price, but the release date seems to be slightly… rushed.
During the E3, there were already rumours about Project Morpheus’ new name, but then, a new PlayStation Move model was also shown. However, Shuhei Yoshida has denied that the Move 2 was real, but now, we are not so sure. Was it a good idea to rename the Project Morpheus? Sony – of course – have not commented on this yet…
Morpheus was a great name of this tool, PlayStation Eyes is shit!
