Tides of Tomorrow: Another Glimpse into the Game from the Devs of Road 96 [VIDEO]

DigixArt’s latest was featured in THQ Nordic’s annual digital showcase, and we finally have a release date. From the creators of Road 96 comes Tides of Tomorrow, a game where you must survive on the hazardous ocean planet of Elynd—and contend with decisions made by friends and your favorite streamers. Elynd is a world struggling after the Great Flood, and all life is now threatened by a deadly plastification. Search for a cure, explore floating platforms, and tackle community-driven threats. As you dive deeper into Elynd’s mysteries, you’ll never truly be alone…

You’ll meet a wide variety of characters on your journey, each with their own moods, motivations, and perspectives on the planet’s fate. Choose your allies wisely, as every choice could spawn new adversaries. Keep tabs on your friends’ adventures too—their decisions will impact your story and force you to adapt in an unpredictable world. Follow your friends or favorite streamers in their own quests, sail across treacherous waters, and gather resources to improve your odds of survival. Explore floating platforms set amidst unique, colorful landscapes, and encounter iconic and unforgettable characters ready to help—or hinder—your progress.

Until now, the release date for this first-person adventure game was a mystery. Two months ago, THQ Nordic and DigixArt announced that Tides of Tomorrow would come not only to PC, but also PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. It would be great if a Nintendo Switch 2 version was in the works, but that seems unlikely (perhaps DigixArt doesn’t have a dev kit; we’ve reported before on how stingy Nintendo can be…).

Tides of Tomorrow will be released on February 24, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The color palette is bold and lively, but you’ll likely get used to it.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
