TECH NEWS – Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi 15 5G, the newest entry in its performance-driven smartphone lineup. The device is designed to deliver extended battery life, immersive visuals, and advanced AI-powered tools for everyday use.
The Redmi 15 5G is powered by a 7000 mAh (typ) Xiaomi Surge battery, supporting up to two days of use, 33W fast charging, and 18W reverse charging. This marks Xiaomi’s largest-capacity battery on the global market to date. Enhanced by Smart Charging Engine 2.0 and Battery Health 4.0, the phone ensures long-term durability. Even at just 1% charge, it can provide up to 59 minutes of talk time or 7.5 hours of standby.
The handset features a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 288 Hz touch sampling rate. It carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing, and circadian-friendly display performance. Its curved back design and metallic accents combine elegance with comfort. With IP64 water- and dust-resistance and Wet Touch Technology 2.0, the device can be used even with wet hands. The Snapdragon® 6s Gen 3 chipset powers 5G connectivity, with support for up to 16 GB RAM (via memory expansion) and up to 2 TB of expandable storage.
The camera system includes a 50 MP AI dual setup, enhanced by features such as AI Erase, AI Sky, and Dynamic Shots. For audio, Hi-Res Audio, Dolby Atmos®, and a 200% volume boost deliver an enhanced multimedia experience.
Running on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, the Redmi 15 5G integrates Circle to Search, Google Gemini, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity, ensuring smooth and intelligent usability.
The phone will be available in three colors (Wave Green, Titanium Gray, and Midnight Black) in a 4GB+128GB version, priced at HUF 71,990. It will launch with Telekom starting August 18, followed by broader availability through Xiaomi’s official retail channels.
