Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold: Is Its Unveiling Happening Soon?

TECH NEWS – The double-folding smartphone will be unveiled to the public at a major event in South Korea.

Samsung will soon unveil its latest smartphone, which can be folded twice and is provisionally named the Galaxy Z TriFold. South Korea will host the APEC summit in Gyeongju at the end of October. World leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, are expected to attend. The country will also host the APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju from October 28 to 31. The summit is officially named CEO Summit Korea 2025. The meeting will address topics such as energy transition, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, trade, and biotechnology.

Samsung plans to generate media interest by unveiling the Galaxy Z TriFold at a global event this month. It is important to note that attendees will not be able to handle the phone, as it is expected to be displayed only under a glass panel. The Galaxy Z TriFold has three display sections connected by two hinges; when opened, it becomes a full-size tablet. It features a 10-inch (25.4 cm) OLED internal display and a 6.5-inch (16.51 cm) external display. Unlike the Huawei Mate X, Samsung’s new foldable device does not combine inward and outward folding; rather, it uses a U-shaped folding mechanism to protect the screen. This means that the external display does not merge with the internal display when the phone is opened.

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will reportedly feature a titanium cover to increase its durability. The device will also have three batteries with a combined capacity of over 5,000 mAh. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, the device is expected to be released in several countries, including the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.

While the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will likely be available in all major markets, it probably won’t be available in stores worldwide as it certainly won’t be cheap.
