Dispatch: The Superhero Team Is Heading to Nintendo

After finding success on PlayStation 5 and PC, Dispatch is preparing to reach a new audience. The superhero workplace comedy is set to arrive on Nintendo platforms following its strong performance on earlier systems.

Created by the writers and directors of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy set in present-day Los Angeles. Players take on the role of Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, whose mech suit is destroyed during a battle with his nemesis. Stripped of his heroic role, he is forced to take a job at a superhero dispatch center, not as a hero, but as a dispatcher.

Your task is to manage the rehabilitation of a group of former supervillains while navigating complex office relationships and working toward rebuilding your suit for a chance at revenge. In Dispatch, every decision influences how the story unfolds, from lighthearted banter in the break room to life-or-death situations in the field.

Choices affect your relationships with the heroes, their loyalty, and the direction of their individual storylines. Using the strategic map, players can review ongoing emergencies and decide which heroes to deploy, whether they are the right or the wrong choice for the situation. Each decision requires balancing risks and rewards, with the knowledge that every action can have lasting consequences for both the team and the city.

Managing heroes often goes beyond their powers. Each character comes with quirks, flaws, and emotional baggage that must be accounted for to keep the team functioning. Players can upgrade skills and unlock new abilities to improve effectiveness during missions.

By blending narrative, strategy, and humor, Dispatch explores what it truly means to be a hero, whether that means wearing a cape or sitting behind a desk. The game features an extensive cast drawn from across entertainment, including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Erin Yvette, MoistCr1TiKaL, Jacksepticeye, Travis Willingham, Alanah Pearce, Lance Cantstopolis, Joel Haver, Thot Squad, Matthew Mercer, and Jeffrey Wright.

Developed by AdHoc Studio, Dispatch launched on October 22 for PlayStation 5 and PC in an episodic format, with all episodes released by November 12. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch versions will arrive on January 29 and are currently available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop at a 10% discount, priced at $27 instead of $30. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition offers a free upgrade from the previous generation console.

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
