MOVIE NEWS – One of today’s most popular K-pop groups delivered the expected strong debut: in its first weekend, their concert film Stray Kids: The dominATE Experince brought in $19.1 million in total revenue. The film went No. 1 not only in North America, but also in other key markets such as Germany and the United Kingdom.
“Concerts are the events where fans can meet their favorites live, and at Live Nations Studios we wanted to bring that overwhelming experience into cinemas -“ said Ryan Craft, head of the studio’s film and television business. “- The global success of Stray Kids: The dominATE Experince clearly validates our vision: traditional documentary tools were discreetly put in brackets, and instead we drop fans right into the middle of that world, where they can connect directly with their stars.”
Live Nations Studios left nothing to chance, bringing in the biggest names in the genre to make the film. The director is concert-film specialist Paul Dugdale (Adele: One Night Only, Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour), while the interviews and backstage moments were handled by Farah X (The Remix: Hip Hop x Fashion).
