Mouse: P.I. for Hire: We’ll Have to Wait a Little Longer for the Private Investigator!

Fumi Games and PlaySide Publishing have requested a little extra time for the release of their noir-style, first-person shooter game.

Originally scheduled for release on March 19, the game will also be delayed. After Lollipop Chainsaw RePop – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, this game’s release date has been announced. It’s something, at least, but it’s more than a week or two. Let’s take a look at the announcement from the two companies:

“Hello everyone. Today, we have an important update to share with you all. We have made the decision to move the release date of Mouse: P.I. for Hire to April 16. As we approach the final stages of development, we want to ensure that we take the extra time and care needed to make Mouse: P.I. for Hire an unforgettable experience. Our goal to deliver the best game possible remains unwavering, and that will take just a few more weeks. We are excited to share more of the game with you in the lead-up to the launch. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your incredible support,” wrote Fumi Games and PlaySide Publishing.

Mouse: P.I. for Hire is a gritty, noir-fueled first-person shooter inspired by classic 1930s cartoons. Its monochromatic visual style and retro jazz soundtrack are created with the same techniques used in that era. Play as private investigator Jack Pepper and discover that a corrupt city full of crooks and danger is just the beginning. Explore the noir-inspired city teeming with heavily armed gangs, mobs, and characters from the dark side to uncover the secrets of Mouseburg.

Mouse: P.I. for Hire is now scheduled for release on April 16 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, instead of March 19.
