The Japanese company has dominated conversations over the past few hours thanks to the release of the final trailer for Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie, but now it wants to steer the discussion back toward its games by confirming that one of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives will not keep players waiting long. We are talking about Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, a colorful and imaginative platforming adventure starring the little green dinosaur, which will launch on May 21, 2026.

The title was presented at the September 2025 Nintendo Direct as one of the many adventures set in the Super Mario universe heading to the company’s new hybrid console. Although today is Mario Day, Yoshi has received a fair share of the spotlight through both the new Yoshi and the Mysterious Book trailer and his latest appearance in the final trailer for Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie. While it was already known that the dinosaur would feature in this new production, the latest Nintendo Direct revealed the voice actor who will bring the character to life on the big screen.
