Resident Evil Requiem: Will a Character Return in the DLC? [VIDEO]

Although Resident Evil 9 was released just over a month ago, we’re already hearing some exciting details about the upcoming (and almost inevitable) DLC.

Ada appeared in the Resident Evil 2 Remake, which makes sense, since the character had a role in the original game as well. Ada’s voice actor there says she doesn’t want to be a “rookie” (which either refers to the fact that Leon S. Kennedy was a rookie in both Resident Evil 2 and its remake, or that Leon will also appear in the Resident Evil Requiem DLC), and she added that she doesn’t want to end up like Ben. (Ben Bertolucci was a prisoner at the RCPD, or Raccoon City Police Department—specifically in its garage—and in the remake, Mr. X kills him, while in the original, the now-mutant William Birkin ends his life—we had to explain this for the comment to make sense).

A few weeks ago, Dusk Golem tweeted that Ada Wong would most likely appear in the Resident Evil: Requiem DLC. This information was leaked to the public somewhat by accident, but he believes it was an honest mistake and that the leaker doesn’t want to get anyone in trouble over it. However, based on these events, he believes the spy (double agent) from Resident Evil 4 and its remake will appear in some form.

We previously reported that Ada could have appeared in Resident Evil: Village (also known as Resident Evil 8), but Capcom ultimately decided against it. It seems the Japanese company is now serious about bringing the character back. One thing we don’t understand, though, is why they changed Ada Wong’s voice actress between the Resident Evil 2 Remake and the Resident Evil 4 Remake. If Leon’s voice actor remained consistent, perhaps Ada’s could have as well.
