Traysia: Back on New Platforms After 34 Years!

Originally developed by Telenet Japan, the RPG will become multiplatform. This time, however, it’s worth emphasizing that it has been 34 years.

A young boy named Roy dreamed of becoming a world-traveling adventurer and left his hometown. Having known neither travel nor battle, the boy’s adventure begins now. After leaving his hometown, he traveled through many mountains and forests. He finally arrived at a small country called the Kingdom of Salon. Traysia is a girl waiting for Roy to return to their hometown of Johanna, a port town. Traysia is a full-scale role-playing game consisting of five scenarios that offer a definitive fantasy romance of love and adventure.

With the rewind and turbo functions, you can repeat something until you achieve perfection or speed things up. With the save state function, you can save wherever you want in the game and restart from that exact point. You can select from several filters to modify the game’s appearance (retro-style monitor, black-and-white, etc.). In the gallery, you can view images from the original game manual and box design. Activate cheats to make your mission easier, such as infinite lives or invulnerability. In the jukebox, listen to the 21 music tracks included in the game whenever you want. This is a re-release of Traysia, which was first launched in 1992 for home consoles.

More precisely, it was released in Japan on February 14, 1992, by Riot, and in North America in April 1992 by Renovation Productions for the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis. There was no European release. However, that is about to change. Ratalaika Games and Shinyuden are releasing the 16-bit RPG worldwide for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. When? April 24.

It’s unusual for an RPG like this to be re-released. It makes sense for other consoles since the entire game can be emulated on a PC. Eiji Kikuchi, the game’s director, later worked on the Tales series. In any case, we’re happy to see old games preserved in this way. Many other companies could learn from this example.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
