Yesterday we did have a correct guess about a new Gran Turismo game getting announced, as Sony kept this for Paris Game Week to reveal Polyphony Digital’s latest game, Gran Turismo Sport. Of course, no Gran Turismo announcement would be complete without the devs’ boss Kazunori Yamauchi, who flew to Paris for this event.
Gran Turismo Sport – whose name was first leaked by the Croatian PlayStation-importor – doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, but seeing how it is planned to be launching before 2017, we can see this title drop in 2016, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. GT Sport will have a new physics engine, drastically improved audiovisuals and an agreement with FIA.
There will be two cups handed out to the winners at the end-year FIA ceremony, where the winners of the Nation’s Cup and the Manufacturer Fan’s Cup (representing the country and the manufacturer, respectively) will be awarded.
Obviously, the game will come with PlayStation VR-support, and there is going to be a beta in early 2016 for Gran Turismo Sport. Sounds good! The 75 million lifetime sales for Gran Turismo might be even bigger!
