With Update 1.3, DoubleMoose and The Arcade Crew are bringing the brinepunk cooperative first-person shooter to consoles.

In Abyssus, players become brinepunk explorers who dive into the sunken ruins of an ancient civilization. The objective is straightforward: seize a substantial brine deposit, a precious and potent substance. The challenge, however, is anything but simple. Corrupted denizens rise from the depths and turn your mission into a frantic battle for survival. Teamwork is key to survival. Up to four players can team up in cooperative play, carefully coordinating their loadouts, skills, suits, and weapon mods. Each run is different, offering procedurally generated levels that keep every descent fresh and tense.

Experience visceral, fast-paced, first-person shooter action with top-notch weapon feel and combat responsiveness. Up to four players can play cooperatively. There is roguelite meta progression with advancements, rewards, and unlocks. There are 64 hand-crafted levels that are procedurally sequenced to make every run a new experience. There are extensive character customization options. There are 36 different enemies and four bosses that will challenge your skills, and more content will arrive this summer with the free 1.3 content patch.

The physical release comes packed with digital goodies! Players and collectors alike can expect the following from the supercharged Abyssus: Brine Edition for PlayStation 5: a copy of the game, the Brinehunter DLC, which includes the Sea-weathered Birdcage Helmet, the Brineston Dance, and the Sea-weathered Frame; the Brineguard DLC, which includes the Juggernaut Helmet, the Juggernaut Suit, the Company Loyalty Emote, and the Brineguard Frame; the Brinefrost DLC, which includes the Polar Helmet, the Polar Suit, the Brinefrost Frame, and the Bringer of Gifts Emote; and the Brinerot DLC, which includes the all-new Brinerotten Helmet and Suit, the Pack of Brine Emote, and the Brinerot Portrait Frame, all of which are inspired by heavy Brinepunk machinery.

Abyssus will arrive on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on June 25, when the 1.3 update will also be released. Silver Lining Interactive will distribute the PlayStation 5 Brine Edition.
