Guy Ritchie Wants Meghan Markle for The Gentlemen Season 3 – But There’s One Major Problem

MOVIE NEWS – Guy Ritchie has reportedly offered Meghan Markle a role in The Gentlemen Season 3, potentially marking the Duchess of Sussex’s first acting job since 2018. There is one major obstacle to that high-profile comeback, however: Netflix has not yet renewed the gangster series for a third season.

Early reports claim Ritchie has approached Markle about an undisclosed part. The talks are said to be preliminary, so neither her involvement nor the identity of the character is confirmed, but the possibility alone has already drawn fresh attention to the Netflix crime drama’s future.

Markle became internationally known as Rachel Zane in Suits and also appeared in Remember Me and Horrible Bosses. She stepped away from acting after marrying Prince Harry in 2018, meaning a role in a Guy Ritchie production would amount to a genuine screen comeback.

The Gentlemen Season 3 Has Not Been Greenlit Yet

The biggest uncertainty is not Markle but the production itself: Netflix has yet to officially order The Gentlemen Season 3. Season 2 is set to premiere on September 3, 2026, continuing the story of Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass as they seek to expand their criminal empire into Italy while Bobby Glass remains behind bars.

Ritchie’s stylish underworld attracted considerable attention in its debut season, and as we explained in our review of The Gentlemen Season 1, the show successfully translated the filmmaker’s signature rhythm and criminal intrigue into Netflix’s serialized format. The reception to the upcoming second season will likely determine whether the story continues.

Casting Meghan Markle would generate enormous publicity while bringing back a performer who has spent years away from scripted television. For now, though, both the role and Season 3 remain conditional: Netflix first has to decide whether The Gentlemen will return.
