Warhammer 40K: Boltgun II: Heading Back in Time This Fall [VIDEO]

Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games have announced the release date for the Boltgun sequel. However, an exact release date has not yet been revealed for one of the platforms.

The release date trailer absolutely shreds with a first listen of the original musical track created for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II by guest composer Mick Gordon (DOOM [2016], DOOM Eternal, Wolfenstein: The New Order). Get your first look at the unrestrained invention and abominable artifice of Vashtorr the Arkifane.

While traveling to an isolated star system to investigate reports of increased Chaos activity, the playable characters, Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath, find themselves facing the wrath of Vashtorr the Arkifane. Vashtorr is a demigod of immense power who awakens a vast daemonic machine at the center of the planet. This causes a catastrophic explosion that destroys much of the Imperial fleet. Now, Malum and Nyra must race from world to world to cleanse the corruption powering Vashtorr’s daemonic machinations and stand a chance of banishing the demigod back to the Warp.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun II picks up where the original left off, offering fans more strafing action and an increased variety of weapons. Battle fan-favorite foes, such as the sassy, plague-spreading Nurglings and Chaos Cultists, as well as all-new enemies. The ferocious Bloodletters and their bloodthirsty Juggernauts are just the beginning. Greater terrors await in the Emperor’s endless war.

Warhammer 40K: Boltgun II is set to release on October 14 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version is still unknown, as the only information provided about this port is that it will arrive “later.” That could mean fall 2026, but it’s more likely that its release will be pushed back to next year. Since the first three to four months of 2027 are already packed with the release of Grand Theft Auto VI, the future looks interesting—and that’s putting it mildly.

Grabbing controllers since the middle of the nineties. Mostly he has no idea what he does - and he loves Diablo III. (Not.)
