Capcom released a substantial update that improved the game’s performance, which is always a good thing.

In the Relic Expedition Gameplay Walkthrough, the Arisen are transported to the Norgandian Settlement, the last remaining bastion of peace in a once prosperous and populous region. All that remains of that civilization are timeworn relics of an ancient war, guarded by monsters and hidden within the frost-covered wastes. To survive their treks outside the settlement, the Arisen must carefully prepare by ensuring they have ample provisions for their expedition, enhancing their gear, and resting without fear of enemy incursions.

The Norgan inhabitants outside the settlement walls pose a dire risk to explorers. Beorcan warriors attack anyone who approaches their smoldering fire pits, and Norgan giants can entomb adversaries in ice with a single breath. These foes often possess powerful relics, and other formidable adversaries, such as the ice dragon Fimbl, hold relics of even greater potential. However, confrontation is not the only path to power. Sharp-eyed Arisen will often have their curiosity rewarded when investigating the abandoned settlements and caves of the region. The Norgandian Settlement’s direwolf, Freki, can also guide Arisen to treasures for a price.

The true potential of relics gathered by the Arisen is only unlocked after they are appraised by Jiera, the matron of the Norgandian Settlement. While certain relics may appear similar at first, their final form may differ greatly. Weapons and armor received through appraisal offer increased stats based on the rarity of the original relic and can also bestow new abilities or refine existing ones possessed by the Arisen and their Pawn.

A free update for Dragon’s Dogma II improves the frame rate, provides additional save slots, and allows players to use more weapon skills in combat. Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen is set to release on October 9 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
