This time, Microsoft is rolling out a slightly more low-key update to its subscription service.

Shelldiver is already part of the service (cloud, console = Xbox Series, Xbox One; PC; available to Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass members). SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed arrives on September 3 (Xbox Series, PC, cloud; available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members; a new release, meaning it debuts directly on Xbox Game Pass). Dice a Million arrives on September 4 (Xbox Series, PC, cloud, handheld; now part of Game Pass Premium in addition to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass; new platforms: Xbox Series, cloud). Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War arrives on September 8 (console, PC, cloud; for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass members). On September 10, The Royal Writ (Xbox Series, PC, cloud, handheld; for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass members) and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage (Xbox Series, PC, cloud; for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass members) arrive, and finally, on September 15, RuneScape: Dragonwilds (Xbox Series, PC, cloud; for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass members) drops.

Microsoft has highlighted two updates. Starting September 4, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will get 10 hours of early access to EA Sports NHL 27 on console, courtesy of EA Play, and on September 15, version 1.0 of TCG Card Simulator (Xbox Series, PC, cloud, handheld) will be released. Also on September 15, Aniimo (Xbox Series, PC, cloud; for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Essential, and PC Game Pass members) will offer its monthly in-game reward pack to players with a Game Pass subscription.

Finally, the following games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on September 15: Commandos: Origins (console, PC, cloud), Cricket 24 (console, PC, cloud), Cyberpunk 2077 (cloud and console), Dead Cells (console, PC, cloud), Deep Rock Galactic Survivor (console, PC, cloud), Frostpunk 2 (PC), Mullet MadJack (console, PC, cloud), Spiritfarer (console, PC, cloud), Superliminal (console, PC, cloud), and Train Sim World 5 (console, PC, cloud).
