Ashborne Games and THQ Nordic have detailed the updates that the game will receive before reaching version 1.0.
What will be playable at the Early Access launch on September 17? Players will be able to explore six cities (Graz, Kuttenberg, Nuremberg, Freiburg, Wrocław, and the tutorial town of Landsfort Herle), eight professions (Smith, Tailor, Joiner, Stonemason, Priest, Innkeeper, Alchemist, and Perfumer), and two languages (German and English at first, with more to follow soon, such as French, Spanish, Polish, Czech, Simplified Chinese, and Russian). Manage and expand your workshops, hire workers, and build a thriving medieval business empire. You can also start courting, marry, and produce heirs to secure your legacy. An Europa 1410 campaign can span multiple generations, so the character with which you end a campaign will likely not be the one with which you started. Apply for offices and climb the social ladder by befriending, blackmailing, or bribing important citizens. Climb high enough, and you’ll have a say in the city’s construction projects. Expand the city with new walls, improve its infrastructure, and enact laws that ensure your success.
In addition to these core gameplay features, The Guild Remake: Europa 1410 offers many more ways to interact with the game world and achieve your goals. The path you take through your campaign is always up to you. Throughout Early Access, the developers will regularly update the game. These updates will add new content and expand existing features while providing better stability, bug fixes, and balancing where necessary. The developers want to highlight three of these updates, as they will change how you can play the game in addition to adding new content.
The Stabby Update will focus on combat professions and combat in general. It will introduce the Thief and the Robber, as well as the Guard. You’ll be able to equip your men to patrol the streets, break into citizens’ houses and workplaces, and waylay carts on the city’s outskirts. Combat itself, including duels, will also be vastly improved to provide a more fun and exciting experience. Duels will especially get a major overhaul. With the Stabby Update, the developers will introduce one of the most requested features to the game: Multiplayer! Compete against up to eleven other players or work together to achieve your goals. To further enrich the competitive aspect of the game, rivalries and alliances with other dynasties will be introduced, along with cooperative and competitive challenges and victory conditions. This update will also include a significant improvement to the game’s economy. The city’s needs will play a significant role in this update. Provide the city with what it needs to prosper, or withhold certain goods to further your agenda. Lastly, this update introduces a new city to play in!
With the 1.0 release of the game, the Moneylender and Trader will be introduced, enabling you to take full advantage of the new economic features introduced in the previous update. As a Trader, you can acquire rare and sought-after goods, import them to benefit your city—and your wallet—or export them to distant lands. You will need to exchange the money you make abroad for local currency, and the Moneylender will help you with that—for a fee, of course. If you want to jump-start your game, you can take out a loan, but make sure to repay it in time. The game’s release will also include a brand-new map and additional gameplay with your guild. Rise above your competitors and control the future of your craft in your city.
The Guild Remake: Europa 1410 will be released on September 17 for PC in Early Access.
