Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 and the scandal around the game is starting to take a somewhat ridiculous form by now. First, Tecmo Koei announces that nope; the game will only be available in the Asian region. Then, HuniePot and Instacodez offered one and two million dollars for the US and the EU publishing license, respectively. Now, Dead or Alive‘s father, Tomonobu Itagaki – who left Tecmo Koei several years ago – talked about this subject.
First, he didn’t want to believe this situation, as his first responses were the following: „Are they planning to sell Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 only in Japan??? What the hell…..” followed by „Huh?? Why??? Are they chicken????”. Itagaki created the Xtreme spin-off series as just a self-fulfilling, pet project; while also showing his love and appreciation of women.
His final message just proves this even further: „Loving women/games produce a game worth to love/play. But it seems puppets of money aren’t aware of the principle even after eight years passed. Besides, they aren’t afraid to tell lies. But needless to worry.
Sooner or later, the nightmare will be over. Because this is a providence of professional game industry.” Let’s just hope that the nightmare ends soon. Maybe this comment will be a wake-up face slap to Tecmo Koei…
