Yesterday, two new videos surfaced about Yakuza games. However, seeing how Ryu ga Gotoku Kiwami (Yakuza Kiwami), the first game’s PlayStation 4 remake seems very unlikely to receive a Western release, we are going to skip that and focus on Yakuza 6 immediately. However, this game isn’t announced to be localized – we believe that its future is going to depend mainly on Yakuza 0’s Western sales figures.
In the trailer, of course, we see Kazuma Kiryu walking around the streets of Kamurocho knocking one or two (…fine, more than that) bad guys out in the process. The graphics look great! Development exclusively for the PlayStation 4 shows its positives: the game looks better than Yakuza 0, which was a multiplatform (PS4/PS3) title in Japan.
Yakuza 6 is going to launch in the autumn of 2016 in Japan. If we are lucky, we are going to know in a year if the game is going to get an English translation or not. 5 got it, 0 will get it, it should happen. We can understand skipping Ishin; that was based on Japanese history.
